Being the mother of three daughters I’ve often cringed at some of the styles I see on young girls. I’ve turned magazines around while in the checkout line to spare my daughters visions of underfed, over-photoshopped and scantily clad models. As an artist I do have a great appreciation for beauty, after all, it is a large part of my industry. I have often dreamed of pioneering a group of young girls that could start a “movement” of beauty that is directly related to dignity and true individual expression. I was so excited and felt it was meant to be when I got an e-mail from another mom at my daughter’s school who led a program called “Pure Fashion” here in Indianapolis a few years ago. Mollie was ready to head Pure Fashion once again this year! So I felt a little nudge from the Holy Spirit and have jumped in with both feet to support, co-chair and be inspired over the next 10 months.
If you are the mother of a daughter (or daughters!) who are in 8th or 9th grade please take the time to check out the website for Pure Fashion. We are hosting an information meeting on August 25 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM at my studio. If you are interested and would like more information don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Mollie (317) 407-4279 or myself (317) 626-8352 anytime! This is a very exciting adventure with monthly meetings, fun, fashion and most of all the discovery of the beauty inside of us! In May we will have a fashion show with our models!
If you are interested in sponsoring this event please contact us. This event will get a lot of publicity and be a great opportunity to support a wonderful and magical mission!
