Jessica and Young

I am very excited about our official “kick-off” wedding for this season.  Young and Jessica have been planning for quite a while and their wedding is finally almost here!  I have been anticipating this wedding at Laurel Hall for some time and have really gotten to know this special couple very well.  Here are a few sneak peek images from a bridal session I shot with Jessica and some other amazing talent, her makeup artist, Kiralee Hubbard.  There are going to be many special details on this wedding day as Jessica has done quite a bit of the hand work herself.  They are marrying on their anniversary, which I think is so special.  I can’t wait to share the day with you two!jesbloghome-copyLove using a videographers light!  John and Jennifer Moon had theirs set up so I grabbed this shot.

Quick Look Keychains

When Amy approached me to shoot the products for her new business called “Quick Look Keychains” I was so excited for her.  Check out the featured item this month (photography courtesy moi).

What a great cause!  50% of the retail price goes to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help find a cure for breast cancer.

Oh and here is a picture of Amy’s family.  Isn’t it nice to see short sleeves on people?

Ellison Kate

After I had fun with Lindsay I headed to long time friend and client, Michelle’s house to visit with her newborn baby, Ellison Kate. Oh my!  How fresh and cute she is.  I loved hanging out with now big brother, Keller.  They have such gorgeous kids!  Ellison was a good sport as we did a mini-session since both Michelle and I had kids to pick up.  It was great to visit with you, Michelle and I’ll see you for a shoot in your home later this week.

Lindsay

Today was my last shoot with Lindsay for a while as her family is moving back to California next week.  She was so adorable!  Michele, I can’t tell you how much I am going to miss your company.   It has been amazing getting to know your family and I hope to see Trevor before you go.  He is such a special kid and I can tell how much he adores his sister.  I wish you all the best with your move and just know you will love your cottage by the beach and being closer to family.  See you in October!

Lots of love,

Jennifer

Heart Coin Necklace

Posted by jennifer in Products on February 16th, 2009 No Comments »

I am so excited about the arrival of spring and figured while we are waiting for the warm weather it would be nice to give you something to warm your hearts.  As a mother I love having stylish jewelry to brag about my kids.  Many of you have seen our boutique items in the studio, but each month we are going to feature a different item so you can collect them just as I do.  Hey, we are going stir crazy waiting for winter to finally leave us!

So to kick off this 6 month parade of items meet our lovely heart-shaped coin necklace.  Sterling silver and 100% pure charm!  I love vintage jewelry that I can beat up and it still looks great.  I accidently washed my round coin necklace last month and it survived.  Does your drooling toddler chew on your necklace while you try to sneak in some adult conversation?  No worries, all of our jewelry is sealed by a jeweler and can handle the torments of a teether.  Through March this necklace is 25% off.  Contact the studio for more details.

Our new frames have been a huge hit!  Those will also be on special until April 1, 2009 enjoy 10% off any funky frame (print price included in this deal!).wildsorbetpicture-8We framed Miss Emma here in grasshopper green.  I’ll have to take a picture of how these look with our wavy green trim.  So sweet!  What a great way to decorate the nursery or kids playroom.

Have a great week!

Isaac

One of my favorite clients, Isaac!  My best friend, Nancy, is so lucky to have this little treasure at home.  I love to get near him anytime I can.  He is so cuddly and despite having 16 teeth at almost one he is a pretty happy baby.  Go Isaac!

What a handsome little guy. I love the sunflower yellow background.

He is pretty stinkin’ cute, isn’t he? Poor thing has 16 teeth, cutting them like crazy. It is a wonder he is ever in a good mood.

I knew I was in for a treat with Tiffany and Brian. They braved the cold for me and I am so glad they did! We had a blast traveling around downtown in subzero temps shooting. It was great to finally meet you, Brian, after hearing so many wonderful things about you and how happy you make Tiffany. I hope “date night” was fun and truly can’t wait to share your wedding day with you. You are two very special people and I am so glad you found each other!

Hugs,

Vintage Bridal Shoot

Posted by jennifer in Bridal, Fashion, Wedding on February 5th, 2009 No Comments »

In my job I am so lucky to have the friends I make along the way. Working with other artists and awesome clients has made this job not just “work”, but a “life” that is full of memorable moments and genuine friendships. John and Jennifer Moon of Northernlight Filmworks joined me at the Ambassador House for a shoot and created the most wonderful video! I love the way they captured this fun day. They shot super 8, which is film and very vintage looking. I love it. Kiralee, Irina, Amy from McNamara, Leslie Jones for dressing our bride, Jessica, and J’Ann & Co. for providing the exquisite Birnbaum & Bullock dresses.
