Snow Days and Wild Sorbet
So Yesterday we received our Wild Sorbet frames. A few were for me and some for the studio. I LOVE these new frames and am so excited to display them! I used my own kids as models because we have been long overdue for a shoot. We are going to make custom valentine cards, which ought to be fun:) Check these frames out! They are available in all sizes, shapes, colors…each one is made to order and very unique. I am so excited about them and I bet you will be too. Imagine a nursery decorated in these very cool frames.

Emma Rose
What a joy it was to photograph Emma Rose this weekend. She is sooooo cute! What a happy baby! Even though she is only 4 months old she did a great job sitting up a bit. This is a great age to shoot that is often overlooked. Still so close to new, yet heading towards more adventures!

Fifteen pounds of cuteness!

Vote for Shirts and Blog!
The new logo has been a huge hit so we have decided to have t-shirts printed. It is nice to be in “uniform” at casual events and looking cute at the same time. We can’t decide what shirts we want to order so here are the two options. If you can leave a comment letting us know which you like that would be great. Also, if you want to reserve a shirt send me an email. The more we order the less they are. I hope the shirts will be $20.00. As you know I love quality items so these shirts are really SOFT cotton, not that polyblend itchy stuff or the cotton that pills the day after you wash it. Comfy and stylish!
So here is option A:
And option B:
Also, if you get a chance you can vote for the blog here:

We feel it is fresh and fun!
Have a great weekend.

I like Option B – looks better on ladies that aren’t a Size 0 (like Jennifer!) Okay, there is my 2 cents.
Love ya!

Cupid Shoots
Remember as a kid selecting your favorite cartoon character Valentine Day cards to share with your friends? Hello Kitty, Star Wars, Carebears, etc. What fun we had picking our favorite ones to give to certain people. At JDP this year we have something very special for your kids to share with their friends, custom Valentine cards.
Lindsay and Trevor visited us and braved not only the studio, but the snow outside for some images! These kids are so fun and adorable. We will post their custom valentine as soon as we have it ready. These cards are a great idea and only 29.00 for a set of 25! We can order in quantities of 10 and they take a week to complete and deliver so if you are interested in giving a special treat to your child’s friends and family this year visit us by the first week of February.
Trevor is the best big brother:

Ayden turns 5 this weekend! He was in with Flynn for a shoot as well. My oldest is helping babysit this weekend at the party. Lucky girl!

It sure is cold here in Indiana! Insane for us to see below zero temps. Woo! I needed to warm up tonight so looked back on my shoot in Phoenix with the Wall family. Hopefully I’ll be out their way again in April enjoying the warmer weather. There is some greatness about all this cold-SNOW. I had two amazing shoots today and one of them was in the snow with adorable Lindsay and Trevor. They will be on the blog soon.
With a new year comes new ideas! We have been busy improving our system and are very excited about the newsletters we will have coming this year. Look for great specials and opportunities! You can sign up for the newsletter here:

Hoaglin Catering
Some of you may know I am a huge fan of culinary photography. I drool over my issues of Cooking Light magazine each month and love the challenge of working with food. The colors, the lighting, the creativity that you can have with food is endless. Rob Hoaglin owns of the finest catering companies in Indiana, Hoaglin catering. Fresh and innovative food that awakens your senses, not your typical event food at all. Here are some of the images I captured today with Rob acting as food stylist. His chief chef, Sully, did a wonderful job of preparing the dishes. What a delight! If you are looking for wonderful food for that first meal as a married couple please give Rob and his friendly staff a call. Visit their studio in the Stutz building, it is a wonder in itself!

Thank you, Rob! You and Jason were wonderful to work with.

Rockin it out senior session
Grace, Karlie, Claire, Tabitha and Britnay rocked it out this week despite cold weather. These girls have been friends since the first grade! How cool is that? We had fun playing all over Fishers and in the studio. Contact the studio for more information on how to book a senior shoot with up to 5 friends. We offer senior shoots that include a makeup artist and even video documenting if interested. If you have friends that have been a part of your life use this shoot as one last time to capture all of you together before heading off on your life adventures.

You can see a complete feature of their shoot coming soon on the new senior site we are launching next week. Can’t wait, be sure to call the studio and book a session in the next two months for a special “tweet”.

Ella’s Birthday Party
Lilliana has a little sister! Two years ago when Lilliana visited the studio her mom, Tiffany, arrived with cake in hand and we had a PART-AAAY! It was great to see little sister, Ella enjoying her fair share. We had fun shooting Ella clean and tidy and then headed for the sugah! Mmmmmmmm….nothing like a little icing to get the day going. The most adorable thing is this was Ella’s real birthday as well as Dad’s! They share the same birthday, how crazy is that in the same family?

Little Vizslas
We closed the studio for two weeks and I headed up to Wisconsin to visit family until January 6. It was wonderful seeing everyone. My parents recently had a new addition to the family- Fr. Al! Fr. Al has been a family friend for years. He and my father grew up together in Michigan. He is in his 70’s now and his health is not so great and when my parents learned he had been put in a nursing home they decided to bring him home to live with them. So off my father went to pick Fr. Al up from Pennsylvannia and make the trip back to Green Bay. With Fr. Al came his altar and all his vestments, a tabernacle for the host…we actually have a chapel in my parent’s house! My girls couldn’t get over going to church in their socks. What wonderful intimate services we had while visiting. Here is Annie with Fr. Al and Papa.
My father and I visited Timmy’s grave together. It has been 3 years since Timmy died in a car accident on New Year’s Eve and we miss him so very much. I feel blessed to have had his bright soul in my life and I can still feel him here with me. His site is peaceful. I did manage to lock my keys in the car and my parents live way out in the wilderness so Dad and I sat in the church and learned a little bit about the history of their parish. Pretty neat Suamico was a big logging town and the people built the church!

Dad visits Timmy everyday.

Thank heavens for the locksmith.
We went to visit our dear friends, the Freemans. Belinda and Dave are breeders and recently their dog, Sugar, gave birth to a litter of Vizslas. Oh what cute little guys these are!

They are less than a week old here and I was in their basement shooting in a very tiny space, but we had fun. The girls loved holding the puppies and smelling their sweet breath. They still can’t see or hear in this picture. Sugar is a wonderful mom.
I have been quite busy shooting since returning and can’t wait to post some of the sessions. Hopefully later today I’ll steal some images from Jordyn and get things posted. 2009 is going to be a great year! Thank you to all of you who make this possible. We hope to continue to enrich your lives with artistic memories and capture your smiles.
