Dana and Peter

Posted by jennifer in Jennifer's Weddings, Wedding on September 8th, 2010 No Comments »

Dana and Peter’s day was very sentimental and filled with a quiet and moving joy. Their love is truly passionate and I really admire how they both soak life up as it is happening, in the moment…a lesson I can never get enough of (being type A). Because their hearts are so big they chose to marry at the Joy House in Broad Ripple, which is a day home for adults with disabilities. Surrounded by the most special people in their life they married under a large tree with the most magical music and personal vows. Thank you both for sharing your day with me! Also, at the end of this post the greatest compliment I have ever received…thank you, Dana.wedding_murphy

” I have to say that in addition to your amazing artistic skills, you do an exceptional job on the business management end, including the systems and materials you’ve created like this (and amazing work with branding!!!). It’s been my experience that while people may excel at their craft (be it photography, musical performance, practicing medicine, delivering therapy), they rarely excel at their craft and running a business – you are especially unique to do both so well.” -Dana

Jennifer and Bill

Posted by jennifer in Jennifer's Weddings, Uncategorized, Wedding on September 7th, 2010 1 Comment »

I have had so many comments and emails asking about Jennifer and Bill’s wedding. Bride’s wanting to know where she got her dress and the bridesmaid dresses, who did the flowers, etc. How cool are the colors they chose? Jen and Bill were so great to work with from the start. On the day of the wedding we had rain, then no rain, then rain again and thunderstorms. Jennifer was the calmest bride I’ve ever seen. Their ceremony and reception were outside at Deer Manor in Bloomington. Despite the dramatic weather Jennifer and Bill had the most romantic ceremony under a big tree and then a joyful reception with some awesome music, food and dancing. I wish you both many years of happiness together! soncini_pt1soncini_pt2

It was a great honor to share in Katie and Brian’s wedding. Because their wedding is going to be featured I can’t share many images, but here is a sneak peek. I’ll post a list of their wedding professionals as well as more images once the magazines have what they need. J Scot Reid was their planner and did a fabulous job coordinating everything and everyone! Katie and Brian are going to have the cutest kids EVER someday. They compliment each other perfectly and are two of the most adorable personalities I have ever spent time with. Just love them! Thank you so much for having me as part of your wedding day. It truly was an honor!stamirk1stamir4katiebrian

Lindsay and Michael

Two of the sweetest, kindest, nicest and prettiest people I’ve ever met. Lindsay and Michael have dated for a very long time so this wedding was so exciting for their family and friends! They are so perfect for each other and respectful, considerate and fully admire one another. I can tell they will have a lifetime of happiness and a strong marriage. Thanks for having me as part of your very fun day! The details were really cool as well, this was my first wedding at the Euphoria Cafe on the canal and it was really interesting and different. Loved the way Lindsay had everything laid out. Enjoy and congratulations! deuser_pt1deuser_pt2

Jessica and Brandon by Jordyn

Posted by jennifer in Jordyn's Weddings, Wedding on July 31st, 2010 No Comments »

Jessica and Brandon had a beautiful wedding at Conner Prairie. I can remember at Matt and Sarah’s wedding a couple of years ago thinking how cute Jessica and Brandon are together and how great it would be to share in their wedding day. Jordyn was the lucky photographer and how fun are these details? Jessica looked beautiful!! Sarah had just had Baby Ty a week before the wedding and was the matron of honor. It is amazing how perfectly things came together! Conner Prairie is adorable and was a perfect place for Jessica and Brandon to start their life together. I can see them having kids someday and returning to Conner Prairie to enjoy all the activities with such great memories.orndorff_pt1Aorndorff_pt1Borndorff_pt2

Amie and Jim

Posted by jennifer in Jennifer's Weddings, Wedding on July 3rd, 2010 No Comments »

It was a great honor to share in Amie and Jim’s day at the Governor’s Residence. Weddings are a not typically held at the Governor’s residence, but Amie and Jim are very special. As you can see it was a very intimate ceremony out in the garden with the most relaxed and elegant reception. I love a bride with two dresses! Amie is a girl after my own heart and had TWO dresses. She looked amazing and it was such a tender moment when they first saw each other. These two are meant to be and deserve every bit of happiness together. longest I have to say the design of their wedding was a joy to be a part ofGerald Joyce recently relocated to Indianapolis from New Orleans and lucky for brides! He was Martha Stewart’s planner of the year in 2007 and such a joy to work with. We did have some drama as it rained HARD just after setup, but Gerald and Matt Mills Catering staff tore everything down and dried it out and then reset everything and none of the guests had any idea! It was beautiful! The flowers on the cake were made by HAND by Gerald. I know Amie and Jim were so grateful for his presence on their day.

Mr. and Mrs. Canary

Katie was SO excited to become Mrs. Canary!! She could hardly contain herself as she said her vows so incredibly excited to become Shawn’s wife. They are so gentle with one another and two of the happiest people together! Katie was a trooper because it was extremely hot on their wedding day and she braved the heat with no air conditioning under her dress:) I have known Katie’s family for some time now and absolutely adore them. I know how happy they are to have Shawn as a part of the Sowatzke clan! Congratulations to all of you and how lucky Shawn, Katie and Landon are to have each other.canarycanary-0969 copycanary-1062 copycanary-1058 copy

Emily and Kyle

It seems like I’ve known Emily forever! She was so gracious in visiting us in the studio and we did quite a few shoots together. What a fantastic day it was!! The Ritz Pavilion looked amazing and truly was a work of art. Scott Evans worked his magic with the pipe draping and Alan from McNamara did a phenomenal job on the flower arrangements. Everything was perfect! Emily and Kyle…you will do great things together. Emily, your father’s toast “Emily told me, ‘Dad, you will be proud of the man I marry’”. Well, safe to say Emily’s beautiful family can be VERY proud of the man she married. It was such an honor to be a part of your very elegant day. Thank you so very much. I look forward to watching your family grow:)coxkyle_MG_5013_MG_4965-1
