Great Honor
I have been invited to a new association of photographers chosen from a highly selective list of over 5000 wedding photographers from around the world. The selection and invitation was sent to 350 photographers from around the planet. The panel of photographers on the Review board included David Beckstead, Ben Chrisman, Del Sol Photography (Matt Adcock and Sol Tamargo), Glen Johnson, Anna Kuperberg, Crash Taylor, and David Ziser.
I am greatly humbled and excited to be a part of this special opportunity!

Jingle Bell Run
Last year I had the honor of capturing the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run. It was so fun and I can’t wait to be part of it this year. Arthritis strikes those of all ages and can be quite debilitating. Join us this year on December 12 at 8:15 am at the Indiana State Museum and support a great cause.

What an amazing experience I had today at the hospital with these special kids. I don’t even have words to describe the day…pictures are best.

City Voter
So it is the annual WRTV 6 “best of Indy” and we have been nominated again this year. My business name isn’t properly listed, but you should recognize the work on the listing. If you have time and would like to vote that is great! Here is a link, we always love to hear from you:

New Beginning
Today was a very special day at JDP. The existing structure on our property was completely removed. I have been waiting for many years to see this happen and watching it all come down in less than 15 minutes was amazing. We now have a “clean slate” on which to build our dream studio.

J & J
This project is possible because of many special companies and people. Pete Gray of Executive Homes built our family home 5 years ago and we wouldn’t dream of working with another builder so look forward to him leading the construction. He has been hard at work getting permits and harnessing our excitement into an actual design. Your brilliance will shine, Pete! Phil Paul of FinalGradeX…well, Phil could have removed this house by hand. He showed up in his hummer with a chainsaw and I still thought he would be done by the end of the day. Strong, kind and one of the most professional people we have ever encountered we were sure he would get the job done right. Taking the house down was an important step in this process as I wanted a GREAT start and to get it done fast so the community wasn’t terribly inconvenienced by our mess. Quite simply, Phil rocks.

Ameriana Bank came through during these tough times to complete the loan process. Many banks tried and it was a frustrating process until Derek Jones of Ameriana made things happen quick and painlessly. I love Ameriana. They hired me for some commercial work a few months before we even considered them for a loan and working with them from two different perspectives has shown me how dedicated they are to serving this Fishers community with a personal touch.
Jordyn, I can’t say enough about this wonderful young lady. In the past few months as my creative director, associate photographer and friend, Jordyn has put up with my craziness. It took a lot to get here and life has been a bit crazy with the start of wedding season on top of planning the construction. We have had some struggles and I am looking forward to this positive direction!
John…we have been together for over 17 years now and if you had told me back then this is where we would be…I would have been excited! I am glad it took this long because we both appreciate this so very much. Thank you for your support and for believing in me. I know sometimes I drive you crazy with my passion for making people smile and preserving memories. Thank you for loving me as I am.

Summer Horse Camp
All you parents out there that want an educational and awesome camp IN FISHERS to send your kids to check out www.summerhorsecamp-fishers.com. These two wonderful and responsible girls have put together an awesome opportunity for our children to enjoy a week of crafts, swimming and horse lessons in a safe and comfortable environment. Selfishly, I am pushing for registration the week of June 21. They might have to cancel camp if we don’t get more attendees, which would be so sad!! The farm is located at 126th and Olio. Let’s fill this camp up for Audrie and Bailey!! Audrie is a freshman majoring in business at IU and Bailey is a Jr. at University HS and a certified lifeguard.
A picture of a horse…won an award a few years ago for this one. T-max BW film for those of you who remember what that is.
My children who need to attend horse camp and this is an old picture from about 4 years ago. My how they have changed!

Jeri & Joshua featured
It is always an honor to share in a wedding day, but often I am privileged to witness some of the most elegant and unique weddings in beautiful places. Joshua and Jeri’s wedding day was definitely one of my favorites from 2008. One of the most valuable online bridal resources, Style Me Pretty, thinks that Jeri & Joshua’s day was pretty special too as they are featuring it. West Baden is full of grandeur and elegance–a perfect match to Jeri and Joshua’s exquisite taste! Congratulations to you both. Your wedding is an inspiration.

Last call!

Spring is on the way! I really enjoyed the warmer, no jacket, hope is in the air weather we had today. A lot of exciting things happened this week for JDP and we have decided to move forward cleaning out the studio and getting ready to move this summer.
We would like to have a fresh start when we move and will be purging all shoots older than 6 months (weddings not included). If you would like to order any additional pictures now through May would be a great time to order! We will also offer the option of purchasing and owning high resolution files if you have ALREADY placed an order previous to this announcement.
We have a wonderful new system we can’t wait to begin using. You can look forward to being pampered and my question of “tea or coffee” will now mean we will have it hot and ready for you once we move! I am so grateful to have captured your memories and look forward to serving you for many more years in an even more intimate and charming environment (no more stairs!). I’ll be posting announcements and sending out newsletters over the next couple of months to ensure everyone has had the opportunity to order all the prints they need. One last call! Look forward to images of the demolition and construction of the new studio. The picture below shows how I feel! Annie on the beach many years ago. So nice to finally be moving out!

Nice job getting the shot you wanted, Jennifer!! I really didn’t think Bailey would sit still long enough since this was her first ever photo shoot. I love it!
