People know how much I love working with Reis Nichols. This weekend I am honored to be part of their very special engagement ring event. Not only is this a great opportunity to consider getting an engagement ring, but heirloom jewelry for any occasion! Be sure to join us for some great food and lots of “shiny objects”:) We would love to see you.  The event is on Friday and Saturday of this weekend.engagement-extra-eblast

Memory Lane

Posted by jennifer in Studio Happenings on January 12th, 2010 No Comments »

So it is really early in the morning and I have been hard at work backing up images. Scrolling through some old folders I found some images from long ago that I really love. Thanks to all of you who have entrusted me to capture your families, your babies, your profession, your grandmother (yes, isn’t that a nice portrait gift to give!) and of course your amazing weddings. I am feeling so full of joy as I glance back over the years. See if you can guess which images are worked by hand in the darkroom (hint, I like to push film a lot). Look for new updates and blog posts on all the things that have kept us busy this month. 2009 was so fantastic and 2010 had a great start with Ashley and Sean’s wedding (soon to come).memorylane

We have been quite busy these days so I have neglected to blog quite a few sessions.  For now here are some past models and future posts on the way!    Luke, the most awesome senior ever…Luke’s father owns the barber shop below my studio.  We love our barber shop and what a fine young man Luke has grown to be!  Class of 2010 has a lot of wonderful young people in it!

I love his choice of clothing here! Stylin' senior class pres!

Chris is on his way to stardom and stopped in from New York before visiting an agency up in Chicago. He is one of the nicest models I have ever worked with and extremely natural.  He is definitely going to go far!  Right now my commercial site is on hold, but next year we will launch a site dedicated to Vignette Studio by Jennifer Driscoll.  This division of the company focuses on provided artful and professional images in the industry.  With a lifestyle approach to head shots companies can share a more friendly and professional image with their target audience.  We can also provide more formal executive images of all kinds.  I love the challenge of commercial shooting.  This division of the company is also dedicated to those in the fashion industry.  chris-2

New Beginning

Posted by jennifer in Studio Happenings, Studio News on May 21st, 2009 No Comments »

Today was a very special day at JDP.  The existing structure on our property was completely removed.  I have been waiting for many years to see this happen and watching it all come down in less than 15 minutes was amazing.  We now have a “clean slate” on which to build our dream studio.

J & J

J & J

This project is possible because of many special companies and people.  Pete Gray of Executive Homes built our family home 5 years ago and we wouldn’t dream of working with another builder so look forward to him leading the construction.  He has been hard at work getting permits and harnessing our excitement into an actual design.  Your brilliance will shine, Pete!   Phil Paul of FinalGradeX…well, Phil could have removed this house by hand.  He showed up in his hummer with a chainsaw and I still thought he would be done by the end of the day.  Strong, kind and one of the most professional people we have ever encountered we were sure he would get the job done right.  Taking the house down was an important step in this process as I wanted a GREAT start and to get it done fast so the community wasn’t terribly inconvenienced by our mess.  Quite simply, Phil rocks.

The Dream Team

Ameriana Bank came through during these tough times to complete the loan process.  Many banks tried and it was a frustrating process until Derek Jones of Ameriana made things happen quick and painlessly.  I love Ameriana.  They hired me for some commercial work a few months before we even considered them for a loan and working with them from two different perspectives has shown me how dedicated they are to serving this Fishers community with a personal touch.

Jordyn, I can’t say enough about this wonderful young lady.  In the past few months as my creative director, associate photographer and friend, Jordyn has put up with my craziness.  It took a lot to get here and life has been a bit crazy with the start of wedding season on top of planning the construction.  We have had some struggles and I am looking forward to this positive direction!

John…we have been together for over 17 years now and if you had told me back then this is where we would be…I would have been excited!  I am glad it took this long because we both appreciate this so very much.  Thank you for your support and for believing in me.  I know sometimes I drive you crazy with my passion for making people smile and preserving memories.  Thank you for loving me as I am.img_2683-11

St. Patrick

Being Irish I can’t let this beautiful day go by without wishing everyone Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  What a festive holiday and how lucky we are here in Indy to have had great weather.  I wish I had time to go downtown for the parade, but my children had an awesome time attending!  March special being announced soon so stay tune!

Last call!

cleaning

Spring is on the way!  I really enjoyed the warmer, no jacket, hope is in the air weather we had today.  A lot of exciting things happened this week for JDP and we have decided to move forward cleaning out the studio and getting ready to move this summer.

We would like to have a fresh start when we move and will be purging all shoots older than 6 months (weddings not included).  If you would like to order any additional pictures now through May would be a great time to order!  We will also offer the option of purchasing and owning high resolution files if you have ALREADY placed an order previous to this announcement.

We have a wonderful new system we can’t wait to begin using.  You can look forward to being pampered and my question of “tea or coffee” will now mean we will have it hot and ready for you once we move!  I am so grateful to have captured your memories and look forward to serving you for many more years in an even more intimate and charming environment (no more stairs!).  I’ll be posting announcements and sending out newsletters over the next couple of months to ensure everyone has had the opportunity to order all the prints they need.  One last call! Look forward to images of the demolition and construction of the new studio.  The picture below shows how I feel! Annie on the beach many years ago.  So nice to finally be moving out!
