I’ve had the joy of capturing the Smith family for some time now! We’ve cried together, laughed together…now it is hard to believe that Lilly is already a year old!! My how time flies. Here are some of my favorite little people and two parents that love each other madly and have the best sense of humor EVER!!

Two of the kindest and humble people I know! We had a great time together earlier this spring and got so lucky with the weather. Allyson and Chris are so thoughtful of one another and caring. Chris proposed to Allyson in Turks and Caicos, how romantic! I’m really excited for their wedding this fall. Allyson is going to be an amazingly gorgeous bride and a lot of my favorite people will be at their wedding.

Justin and Nicole met in the U.S. Army and both served our country in Iraq. When we were shooting on location we had a snake slither in front of Justin and Nicole pointed it out…evidently when they first met in training camp that very same thing happened and Justin had a really big gun in his hand, but still jumped high to avoid the snake. I thought that was an uncanny coincidence! You are both so comfortable to be around and Nicole has some of the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait for your wedding in December you two!

Christine and Nick share a bond that is so mature and loving. They are head over heels in love! Christine’s heart is so big and she is such a smart and fun person to be around. She is extremely practical and organized, which is a great thing! Nick is also a dear heart and his eyes were filled with such tenderness every time he turned towards his bride. It was really neat to watch them together, it was as if everyone else in the room melted away at times. That is such a neat part of my job–witnessing that passion and warmth between two people. Not only did they become husband and wife, but on their wedding day Christine became a mother to Nick’s beautiful daughter. She will be the best mom, she already is:) When I was leaving for the evening Christine was calling up to the hotel room to be SURE that her little girl had made it safely to her room. I thought that was so sweet. Christine and Nick, you have so much happiness ahead of you! Thank you for having me share in such a special time in your life.

I had the absolute JOY of capturing Jake and Kristen’s beautiful wedding last year. It was the best getting to know their families and realize how much we had in common! Just like John and I, Jake and Kristen started their family right away! They are such sweet people and now seeing them as parents is just amazing. Kristen’s mom was in town for Kensley’s shoot and that was the best! Family is very important to Jake and Kristen as well as their beautiful faith. So seeing this little angel and how graceful and beautiful she is even as an infant is really special. I enjoyed every second of our shoot you two! She did such a great job and I really didn’t mind all the bodily fluids because she looks like an angel! Thank you for letting me share in this time of your lives.

I’m so excited for Liza and Ethan. Spending the morning on Liza’s family horse farm with the two of them was so relaxing and fun. I can’t wait for their wedding next month! It is a great joy and honor to be part of such a wonderful day and work with some amazing wedding professionals. Liza has a great sense of style and I’m excited to capture their wedding day with a classic, but edgy slant. See you two lovebirds in June!

Andrea and Jon had a beautiful wedding day the first weekend in April. These two are such a perfect match. Andrea’s attention to detail and careful organization mixed with Jon’s subtle humor and patience makes them wonderful together. I so enjoyed watching Andrea’s excitement build throughout the day as each ceremonious moment arrived. She looked absolutely radiant and her smile just grew bigger each moment! After the ceremony I could see how relaxed they are together and how FUN they are as a couple. It was a great day! Thank you so much for sharing it with me. We had a great time with you both and can’t wait to watch your family grow (someday). Hope your honeymoon is wonderful!
