We can get edgy, moody, hard rock, etc. I’ve done other shoots with Mo that were a lot more involved and intense with lighting and theme, but this fresh, modern and simple approach to his latest shoot has to be one of my favorites. I couldn’t have done this shoot in my last studio because of the availability of light. In my new camera room I can do ANYTHING and love that I don’t always need lights, but at times can compliment without it looking artificial. Mo and Astin were troopers for the cold as well. Enjoy and visit Mo’s work here.

Merry Christmas! Some of you might remember Roxy from her puppy love session….she was obsessed with toilet paper. Now she has gotten into the Christmas lights! Rebecca and Clint are enjoying married life so much! They are the greatest puppy parents ever!

I love traveling with my camera to client’s homes. It presents unique lighting situations as well as a personal touch to the images. At 4 months of age Alexandra and Nikklas are by far the chubbiest set of twins I’ve ever seen. Krista was so sweet welcome me into her home to enjoy this little cherubs. They weren’t feeling so great, so it was awesome I traveled to her. Despite being a bit cranky we did pretty great! It was a pleasure spending time with you and your little ones, Krista. Honestly I don’t know how you manage it! I look forward to seeing you in a few months when they are sitting up:)

One of the many things I love about my new camera room is the light. I designed the space so light reflects from everywhere and my wonderful designer, Gerald, frosted all my windows so it is like one big soft box all around my subjects. Photography trends come and go, but one trend that I was so happy to see arrive is natural light corporate portraits. Gone are the days of boring 2:1 ratio lit head shots and here are fresh, modern and very crisp images. I had a shoot with Sheri this past week and look at the simple, but impactful images we captured.
Studio lit head shots are still available. All we do is block our windows and use master lighting. Easy! Best of both worlds, which was the plan when building this special new place:) Call the studio if you are needing a new image. 595-9745

I can’t wait to capture McKenzie and Nick’s little one in a few weeks! Molson is actually a cousin to our dog. He is SO sweet and just spunky enough to be all puppy, but so well-behaved. I really enjoyed my session with them and McKenzie is a GORGEOUS pregger:)
