Sometimes taking a moment to reflect and a quiet day to shoot after your wedding day is one of the most memorable shoots of all. Love working with Jamie and Scott!

How long have I known Jon and Cathy? Well, let’s just say Kessler wasn’t here yet! Now look at him and his younger bro, Sawyer. Little super heros (Sawyer’s cape is invisible). They conquered the world while I visited, well at least Chateau St. Michelle’s Vineyards. LOVED seeing everyone in their element. We miss them here in Indianapolis, but Seattle suits them well. I loved staying with them. I had a lot of new experiences while in Seattle (including eating a bee), but the best part was story time at night with Kess and Sawyer. Miss my munchkins being this small! Thanks for your hospitality Jon and Cathy!

When Lindsay and Brad invited me to Seattle to photograph them I was so honored! They didn’t have a traditional wedding so don’t really have many pictures of their relationship. Their love is quiet, deep and simple. I REALLY enjoyed my time with them and we must have hiked 3 or 4 miles to get to the beach. It was worth it. I left Seattle inspired and with my cup a little fuller than when I arrived. Thanks Brad and Lindsay for having me! I look forward to our next conversation:)

Congrats Lindsay & Brad! Jealous my friend Jennifer got to go to Seattle. Is that Bainbridge Island? Still one of the best trips we’ve ever taken.

Some of you know that I had the pleasure of capturing Katie and Brian’s wonderful wedding. Brian waited a full year as Katie fulfilled her duties as Miss America 2009 before he could propose to her. After proposing to Katie on National Television (check youtube!) the rest is history and honestly, they kept their wedding pretty private. Even though they had 400 guests their guests were truly their closest friends and family along with the amazing people that have crossed their lives throughout their journey to become husband and wife. As we wait for their wedding images to be published here is a few of my favorites from their engagement session. They are so easy to be with and getting to know them pretty well after their wedding I know Katie slips in “my husband” into any conversation as much as possible. They absolutely adore each other and I am blessed to count them as friends. Their planner, J Scot Reid, did an excellent job on their wedding. More on that and the wonderful wedding professionals that made their day happen after publications release. For now, enjoy!

When I first started chatting long distance with April I just knew I would love her even more in person. Selecting your photographer is one of the most personal and important decisions you will make when planning a wedding and April was from out of town and unable to visit with me before booking. I could hear in her voice how important the pictures are to her and just knew we would connect. I so LOVED Matt and April’s day. It was a perfect day with amazing weather for two wonderful people. The feeling of love and family was in the air for sure! I love that April’s childhood pastor actually married them.
I will insert names in the appropriate places once I confirm with April, but here are some special people who made their day happen:
Venue: The Ritz Charles, Garden Pavilion
Fabulous Car: Antique Limousines, Owner Jack
Floral: April’s Aunt!
DJ: Matt’s Uncle
Dress: Brides by Demetrios
Invitations: Jennifer Driscoll Photography
Hair and Makeup by April’s Best Friend

I’ve been shooting these little guys since before they were born. So glad to see them visiting from Chicago! Crazy how time flies and they have grown up SO much since our last session.
