She is absolutely adorable and quite the fighter! Kinsey was a bit premature, but as you can see she is thriving now! Look at her weight on our scales (yes, the scale is correct). Loving all these babies. Can’t wait to post more. We are such busy bees shooting it is hard to keep up, but I promise to post more cuteness as soon as possible.

I was so excited when Jackie from Ten Thirteen Design came to me for her product photography. I love all things pretty and have an obsession with paper products. Invitations, labels, ribbons and sparkly really catch my eye. We both had the same vision, which worked really well. If you need invitations or paper products of any kind, Jackie is a great person to work with. She is patient and genuinely loves what she does. Thanks, Jackie! Love the new site!

Katie was SO excited to become Mrs. Canary!! She could hardly contain herself as she said her vows so incredibly excited to become Shawn’s wife. They are so gentle with one another and two of the happiest people together! Katie was a trooper because it was extremely hot on their wedding day and she braved the heat with no air conditioning under her dress:) I have known Katie’s family for some time now and absolutely adore them. I know how happy they are to have Shawn as a part of the Sowatzke clan! Congratulations to all of you and how lucky Shawn, Katie and Landon are to have each other.

Kristen and Jake…what a beautiful wedding this was! So sweet and genuine they are with each other and after meeting their families I can see why they both turned out to be such awesome people. I love Kristen’s sweet freckles and Jake’s smile. It was a great day and thanks for being so adventurous!

It seems like I’ve known Emily forever! She was so gracious in visiting us in the studio and we did quite a few shoots together. What a fantastic day it was!! The Ritz Pavilion looked amazing and truly was a work of art. Scott Evans worked his magic with the pipe draping and Alan from McNamara did a phenomenal job on the flower arrangements. Everything was perfect! Emily and Kyle…you will do great things together. Emily, your father’s toast “Emily told me, ‘Dad, you will be proud of the man I marry’”. Well, safe to say Emily’s beautiful family can be VERY proud of the man she married. It was such an honor to be a part of your very elegant day. Thank you so very much. I look forward to watching your family grow:)

Two of the NICEST people on earth. I am so happy they found each other. Scott and Stephanie couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I loved spending the day with their family and look forward to seeing where their journey takes them. Thank you to both Michelle and Christine for being the most awesome mothers. Hope your honeymoon was amazing Scott and Stephanie. Can’t wait to see you both again soon.

It is hard to believe these little tykes are already 3 years old! Check out the family “wagon bench” we used. So neat that it isn’t really a “prop”, but a sentimental piece of history in their family. Tim and Carli are expecting their third soon and I can’t imagine adding more cuteness to their home. It was great visiting them in their own environment and I love that they are allowed to jump on the bed (with pads around them, of course). They are each so unique and yet Gavin and Mallory are the bestest friends in the entire world and so very close. Love Mallory’s fancy wardrobe and my how neat and clean she keeps her room:) Gavin is all boy and scored many baskets while I was visiting! Can’t wait to meet their new addition in a couple of months!

What an honor it was to be part of Lee’s 90th birthday celebration. It is a great testament to him the love and adoration his family feels. He had family flying in from Washington State, Texas, DC and beyond! I hope I live to be 90 and in such amazing shape with loving family surrounding me.

With the kids out of school and wedding season in full swing we are in photo heaven at JDP. I have so many shoots to share, but here is a teaser of a bridal shoot I had today with the lovely Lisa Hiers and her talented stylist sister, Dawne Swain. Lisa and Casey had a gorgeous wedding day! This is going to be a ridiculously long post, sorry! The images do not necessarily run in order. I met Casey 4 and some years ago when I shot his beautiful sister’s wedding. It is always rewarding to work with people twice, especially on a wedding day! Some amazing people made this day happen. Lisa played planner herself, which is normally a very stressful thing to do, but she planned everything to perfection! Kudos to Dawne Swain for her amazing job on Lisa’s hair and makeup. Dawne was not only the awesome sister-maid-of-honor-hair-stylist-makeup-artist, but I can tell she is an amazing friend to her sister. The staff at the Marriott at Keystone was amazing as always (thank you, Maureen), Mark Beecher created a wonderful party (which is a good thing because this was a part-ay!). I can tell Lisa and I are going to be friends for a long time:) What a fun wedding day and we triumphed despite the rain! I love my job…
