It was a great honor to share in Amie and Jim’s day at the Governor’s Residence. Weddings are a not typically held at the Governor’s residence, but Amie and Jim are very special. As you can see it was a very intimate ceremony out in the garden with the most relaxed and elegant reception. I love a bride with two dresses! Amie is a girl after my own heart and had TWO dresses. She looked amazing and it was such a tender moment when they first saw each other. These two are meant to be and deserve every bit of happiness together. I have to say the design of their wedding was a joy to be a part ofGerald Joyce recently relocated to Indianapolis from New Orleans and lucky for brides! He was Martha Stewart’s planner of the year in 2007 and such a joy to work with. We did have some drama as it rained HARD just after setup, but Gerald and Matt Mills Catering staff tore everything down and dried it out and then reset everything and none of the guests had any idea! It was beautiful! The flowers on the cake were made by HAND by Gerald. I know Amie and Jim were so grateful for his presence on their day.
